We went to Starbucks very, very late tonight-- as a special after-dinner treat. It was probably 7:45 pm when we got home! The sun was about to set and we even drove down to the beach. It was fun.

Heat
First there was a huge heat wave that spread through LA. There was no beating the heat, but a Coronet ice cream didn't hurt!
And then I got Town Fair fever! (That's our school carnival.)
Town fair did not disappoint!

Katie Ray has a newfound affection for that rodent duo Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Yesterday before school she wanted to draw a picture of Minnie and spell some Minnie related phrase ... I believe it was happy birthday Minnie Mouse. For some reason this had to be done first thing so she jotted her notes as we got ready to dash out the door for school. 
Once complete she was ready to go and happy as a clam! She also had declared that she'll bring this notebook on our next trip to disney and we can make a checklist of all the things we want to see on the trip, "like Ariel's grotto and the princess land where the princesses all live. I'm not sure if Ariel is real but I think so and I think she lives there too."
