Sand box

We recently bid adieu to our sand box.  It was a gift to Katie Ray on her 2nd birthday, and it was good while it lasted…but lately she has barely used it.  I think it was honestly too small to fit KR and a friend!

While we were at it, we did a bunch of yard work. (and by "we," I mean the gardeners, of course.  Two bouts for me with garden-induced "poison something," and a no-green-thumb husband means that we leave this to the professionals…)

We had a lot of good times and good memories in the sand box, but I am actually happy it's gone.  I'll post pics of the yard on Life with Champ soon.  Especially if the new sod actually thrives!

Flower child

We went to Pepperdine today with some friends to go to an arts festival.  KR got her face painted and made a paper flower (as well as some clay that isn't seen here.)

There was also a Wayne Thiebaud exhibit, food trucks, and some music.  Despite occasional downpours it was fun... And beautiful!

KR really wanted to practice posing.  So I could get some shots of her rainbow cheeks *and* flower.

She loved the fountains.

A view of the Pacific from the student center - grey and cloudy, but beautiful view!
