All dressed up...

And nowhere to go...but happy to be here and having a fabulous time!

After a busy morning with the boys, we girls took a break to do some planting-- just us!

And KR really did a fantastic job cleaning up after this mega messy project.  She has become a super cleaner!  Last night she cleaned her room before bed to earn an extra bed-time story -- and she did a fantastic job.  Let's hope this is a new lifelong hobby!!  😄

True blue

Katie Ray walked into the kitchen wearing this outfit this morning:

This was my dress circa 1976 or 1977, or so. I have a faint memory of wearing it, so I think I was a bit older than she is. 

She got many compliments on the dress. I must say it has held up very well in every way!

Rainbow Dash

If anyone is interested in the minds of 4 year old girls, they might do well to investigate the residents of ponyville, aka the my little ponies.  KR can spend hours playing with the ponies, reading stories about them, drawing them, etc. 

Here she is drawing two favorites this weekend.  I traced their shapes and she brought them to life: Rainbow Dash and twighlight sparkle. 

Note the pencil tucked behind the ear. This is because beloved music teacher Mr. Morales does this.

I will post a pic of the finished artwork tomorrow... And in the meantime, here is her latest self portrait. She looks so grown up to me!
