Yesterday I drew pictures with my tia...

 

I love to spend time with Tia!

 

And today, my friend Audrey Jade came to play!

 We were playing dress up (you can see Audrey is wearing a ballerina outfit) but then we decided to play sleep.

 And now, TGIF!!

Crash!

This weekend was busy for us.  I had a long playdate with my friend Nick, and on the way home I decided I really wanted to go for a hike.  So we packed up the backpack, grabbed the binoculars, and headed out for adventure.

 It was quite a trek up this driveway -- but the views up there were spectacular!

 It was lots of fun...

 

...and so tiring!  Just about as soon as I got home from our hike, I sat down on the couch to have a snack, and promptly crashed!

 I was a wee bit dazed when I woke up!

 But a special outing with dad to pick up take-out pizza helped me get back with the program!

 I had three (tiny) pieces!

 And then I crashed again. 
But the next morning I was happy and refreshed!

 I had a waffle with Nutella, or as I like to call it, "patella."  (And when my mom says, "Nutella?" I say, "Yes, patella!")

 There's another name mom can't pronounce quite right.  Do you know the terrific rock group "The Chipmunks"?  The band members are Alvin, Simon, and Feudore.  My mom tries to tell me that it's Theodore.  But I tell you, it's Feudore.

Ahoy, ladies!

 I have a boat.  She's called "The Katie Ray."  It is great for trips to the library, friends' houses, and other jaunts I like to take.

 It's important to stock your boat with as many provisions as possible.  Who knows how long these journeys can take!

 I also (as you may know) fancy myself a pirate from time to time.  As a pirate, I like to fashion a homemade megaphone and yell, "Ahoy ladies!"

Lucky for me, my boat is also a fabulous hiding place (when docked on dry land.)

 It's a no fail place to sneak into when playing Hide 'n' Seek with mama.

ps Although I have no photographs to accompany this anecdote, I wanted to share something funny that I said to my daddy last night around 6:00, as my own dinner was winding down.  He said, "I think I'm going to order pizza."  And I said, "No daddy, it's too late for pizza! Why don't you have a sandwich?" For some reason, that really tickled my mom and dad's funny bones!

Family

Today I am thinking of family.

You were one of a kind.  We will miss you very much.

The royal we

My mama was going to title this post "the royal wee one", but then she realized (as you will too looking at these pictures), that I am not very small any more.

I really love to wear tiaras.  This is my second one - I've already out-grown my first one. (Teddy gets to wear it now and again.)

 I think tiaras go with pretty much everything, don't you?

  For example, it really elevates the playdough experience! (Yes, I wore my tiara to school.)

 

And wore it again the next week.

The crown-wearing at school may have something to do with my now missing "crown jewel" as seen below.  But I'm still happy!
