Tadpoles and parasols

I'm sorry, friends.  I went missing again!  I started preschool two weeks ago and life has been a blur.  I'm really going to try to post more. 

Here I am at my swim lesson last week with my dear friend Audrey Grace. 

I call her Audrey Grace, because she and I are also friends with Audrey Jade.

And believe it or not, my friend at school is also named Audrey.  I call her "just Audrey." Here we are, the second day of school!

A new special friend

When we were in Cape Cod this summer, I got to spend a few days with my mama's cousin Charlie and his family -- my "auntie" Georgia, and my cousins Clio and Declan.  I had SO much fun playing with my cousins, and I especially bonded with Clio!!

Hello friends and relations! 

My apologies for my long, long absence this summer!  I have been going non-stop all summer long (Trips to Oregon and Cape Cod! Summer camp! Play dates! Back to Oregon and Cape Cod!).  And even since we've been back in LA I've been baking up a storm (like above), and keeping super duper busy, but now at last we are winding down summer and getting ready for a big year ahead.

I promise to be a better blogger and I will try to add in some summer photos too.  I'll start with my last travel adventure of the summer, a trip to Cambridge, Mass!
 
My mom, my namma and I went to visit my Auntie Buster and Uncle Fred, also known as Auntie Gigi and Uncle Da.  After a visit in their apartment, Da took us for a walk. He let me share his walking stick.

 After a stroll through Cambridge, we headed straight for Harvard Yard.

 You might recall that this isn't my first time here (here's the flashback from 2010).

But this time I figured out how to get into Harvard... just open the door!!  And this is what you'll find inside!

 This used to be my Uncle Da's office many years ago, so the nice people working there now let us in so he could give my mama and me a quick tour.

 After I went to bed, my mama went out to dinner with some very special friends.  The restaurant happened to be around the corner from this place:

 

 

This was my mama's school from about 1976 - 1980.  It all looked so small to my mom, especially because it all seemed so big back then!  But she was happy to see it has really not changed a lick.

Well, if you're reading.. thanks for sticking with me!  I hope to keep this up a bit better now!

I do it myself!

I don't have a picture to share (yet) but I need to share some news.  I rode my bike by myself today! 

My daddy and I had a just-us weekend while my mama went to San Francisco, and we had a lot of fun.  Daddy worked hard to teach me to ride my bike.  It clicked today!  Pictures to follow!

Sorry I've been gone!

Here I am!  Sorry for my absence.  It's been so busy and we are all so tired.

 

But summer is almost here!

 

 

 I am excited about that!

 

 Soon I will (hopefully) start sharing some posts on all the fun and excitement of my summer!

Daddy and I had a little carwash on Sunday.  One customer was all we had. (All we had the energy for, that is.  It takes a lot of scrubbing to get a car clean!)

 

So we had to turn away the rest of the customers.

The day before we had a lot to do, including a baby naming party for sweet baby Julia Waller.  So I put on a pretty party dress.

  I wanted to have something to eat and mama asked me to wear a smock or an apron, so I obliged.

 Luckily I am very grown up and ate my cereal like a proper little lady.

Now poor me, I am sick again, so I missed school this week.  I'm trying to catch up on sleep so I can be better for a fun long weekend!

1, 2, cha-cha-cha

This was a full weekend for me with oh so many activities.  Including going to Town Fair at my school and riding a roller coaster all by myself!  And yesterday I zipped out to meet up with my friends JoJo and Amy.  I drove.

 

I am an excellent driver!

 

All the activity of the weekend might have worked up a hunger in me.  But as my friends might now, I am a finicky eater. 

 However...when offered strawberry pinwheels and heart-shaped grilled cheese...I found my appetite! I actually asked for a second sandwich!

 And then immediately went to bed and slept for 14 hours.

Today I am full of energy - these are scenes of me teaching my mama the cha-cha-cha.

 In addition to being an excellent driver, I'm an excellent dance instructor.

 Right?

 OK, time for bed.

Some quick updates

It's been so busy in our house, just some quick photos to share some of what's been going on lately.

My Champie is the best. He loves me and puts up with me and gives me many nuzzles and kisses.

He is very good at giving me kisses!

 

Last weekend Daddy and I gave Mama a special day on Sunday - I made her a card, and I made her breakfast and it was a great day.

Also, you might start to notice that I've been getting into braids!

Mama says, "thank the Lord!"

 Because I am still growing out my bangs.
