Happy New Year!

L'Shanah Tovah!

(That means Happy New Year in Hebrew, it's the Jewish new year tonight!)

We celebrated with some sweet treats tonight like apples with honey and the classic food of Moses and Abraham, the frosted cupcake.
I love eating cupcakes!
Eating them is even more fun than making them.
But making them was fun too! I let mom help a bit. {"I'll just have one little lick here..."}
Did anyone see that?

Fun times

The last two weekends have been jam-packed with activities, fun, and excitement.

Last weekend, before Namma got to town, I spent some time with LA's finest, teaching them some of my own tricks of the trade for fighting fires and the like. One tip I passed along is that it helps to wear shoes that don't match. (see below.)

Then I showed mama the ropes-- or the pipes -- as well.

But I did not cooperate with her when she tried to insist on cute little pic from the window of the fire truck. Please lady.

Phew, that was a big weekend and a lovely visit with Namma, followed by my second week of school.

Then yesterday mama and daddy took me to the carousel. I get braver and braver each time I go! Here I am waiting in line, excited and a teeny bit trepedatious... (don't I look like a certain cousin of mine named Miss Clementine?)

Here we go... first I rode in the carriage on daddy's lap...

Then I booted him to the front seat so I could ride alone. (I am a big girl!!)...

And I actually rode for a teeny bit on the horse.

Then we had a picnic (PB&Js sandwiches)

and for a grand finale, an ice cream sundae!! (Which, for some odd reason, I decided not to eat to I could rush outside to enjoy the sunset...)

It was a beautiful evening!

Cheers!

No time to chat, so just a quick hello! Namma was here for the quickest of visits, and we squeezed in as much fun as possible. And a bbq, too!

Cheers!

School Days!

I had my first day of school on Monday. I didn't really want to pose for pics, but here are just a few.

Mama wanted a photo of me on our front step. She foresees a tradition... well, I said otherwise -- so mama settled for a shot of the stroller parked at the front step!

I can see why everyone loves school - all you do is play!

Learning the ins and outs of school!

Can you see that I'm developing a favorite friend - Sophia and I used the teeter-totter and did art together, too.

Mama and Daddy got to come for the first day, which was fine by me.

Here's what was NOT fine by me. When mama told me she had to go back to work!!!

Nooo! Meltdown mania!

I went back to school on Wednesday and you will be happy to know it went off without a hitch OR a tear!

More scenes from the mall!

Mom was shutter-bug bananas last weekend, apparently!

Here are more pics she took of our oh-so-LA Saturday at the mall.

Look at these pretty ladies!

I really wanted to try on these clothes. Mama said no, darn her!

Like I mentioned, we hit jamba for some liquid refreshments.

Just vegging!

At Gelson's they gave me a cookie!

What a fun day! It's a blur!

Such a big girl!

Saturday my mama took me to the mall. I wanted to wear this outfit.

Mama thought I looked so grown up. Maybe too grown up! (sigh)

So, off we headed to the mall.

The mall was such an adventure - who knew?!

So many people! So many dogs! Many exciting things to look at! Bloomingdale's has the *shiniest* floors. (We even went to jamba for smoothies.)

After so much excitement, I guess it's no surprise that I crashed when we got home!

After napping in my bed for more than 1.5 hours, I woke up, got as far as the couch, and just crashed again!

I have never napped on the sofa before. Champ was surprised, perhaps, but very happy for the company.

Pop it!

If you want to work an 80s style, I suggest you pop your collar! It helps if it's on a pink and navy blue shirtdress.
