weekend fun

Summer is almost here. The days are so long! When mama says, "Time for bed, Katie Ray, it's sooo late!" I tell her, "No mama, it early! It light!" And it is! But she insists it really is my bed time so reluctantly I go to bed even though it's light out.

But luckily with long days comes nice weather and we've been outside a lot! On Sunday we went to the beach in malibu.


Then we had a girls' lunch at the Beachcomber. A lady like me often applies a little lip gloss before a date!


In case you have hesitated before making your own trip to Malibu, worried that the play areas aren't eco-friendly, well, now you can relax - because as you can see, it is certified eco-friendly!

(This was last weekend, can you see a pattern here?) We were also celeb spotting. Hello Tea Leoni and David Duchovny!

Mama 'n' me

We had a wonderful excursion for mother's day a few weeks ago! Daddy and I woke Mama up with hot coffee and a big plate of donuts. Because we love her! (She felt very loved.)

And then we spent the day together, walking down at the beach, and the tooling around town. Since we were out in the sun, I wanted to wear a hat just like my daddy does.
I really do adore my Jayhawks hat! So even though it's a wee bit small for me, I wear it, just perched on my head a bit.

In other news, be still my beating heart, my boyfriend Jackson has been in L.A. recently. Can you tell, I love him! I am hoping he'll be coming back to town for good, soon!

Now I know my ABCs..

A few updates

It's been a busy time and I just haven't had it in me to post. Here are a few shots of things going on here lately.
On April 13th, I turned 2!!
Out for a big girl birthday dinner with Grandma Betsy and mama and daddy.

And I actually blew out the candles myself!
We went on a much-needed vacation Easter weekend...I was very busy swimming, playing and dashing around. I have taken to insisting on wearing sunglasses when I go outside, but my preferred sunglass usage is as below.
Luckily the Easter bunny knew that I wouldn't be at home and found me in Rancho Mirage.
In addition to eggs, candy, and new flip flops, the Easter bunny also delivered a tiny rabbit that I like to rock to sleep and this mini-me baby.
These days I've been flexing my fashion muscles by picking some outfits and ensembles. (Champy is wondering why he doesn't get to carry a purse and where striped tights!)
I love boots! A big milestone event in my life --Wills and Kate got hitched!
