Just hangin' around

It looks like I will spend a lot of my weekend just hanging around... in my new clip-on high chair that is! Mama came home with it Friday night and boy, was I happy to sit in my new seat. good-bye, booster!

I think I will really enjoy eating meals here.

Here I am enjoying my new perch during breakfast today.

(One drawback: I do find it's a little harder to share my meal
with Champ when I am this high up.)

Night Swimming

Hi Friends, Sorry I have been missing in the blogosphere. My mama told me that she has been so busy at work, that when she's home, she wants to play with me and doesn't have time to take my dictation! Lazy mama!!!! So, for now, here's just one report on all the fun I have been having:


Way back when I was a baby, (the night before my first birthday), my sweet cousin Allie gave me a swimming lesson. Here are a few shots.

ps, in fact this was my first bath in the real bathtub and even though it was a little scary, Allie made it lots of fun! And now I take a bath every night in the real tub and *I LOVE IT!*

As it is midnight in Los Angeles, Katie Ray is sound asleep, so here's her mama to do a little guest blog in honor of her upcoming 1st birthday!

365 days ago, here we were, eagerly awaiting her arrival!
Less than 24 hours later we were in the hospital, certain she would be in our arms any minute now!

But we had to wait a good long while until this sweet little baby finally showed up!

And now here she is almost one year old! Katie Ray, we love you very much!!

lunchtime laughs

Yesterday I was having my lunch, and more or less minding my own beeswax. Maybe I was crossing my ankles,
or maybe I wasn't.
mostly I was just trying to ignore the "papparazzo" aka my mom who is always taking pictures of me. {Can you almost see me rolling my eyes here?}

But then the next thing you know, mama said we were going to take a picture together.

"Uh, say what, mama?"

Oh, you are so funny, mama!

Oh mom, seriously, you are weird!

Haaa haaaa haaaa! ROTFLMAO!!!

ps, for Babywatchers, I am now saying "mama" as much as possible (and somewhat indiscriminately) and saying Dada a little less often but more specifically, and I am basically sprinting all over the house!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Today I went to an Easter brunch and there were lots of people and lots of treats and lots of excitement! I made some friends, had some fun, and I ate a cookie for the first time! I liked wearing my Easter finest (but no bonnet, thank you very much. Not to mention, no shoes!)

My mom insisted on including this photo because it shows my long curls.

After a very exciting day, I finally agreed to consider taking a nap at around 3:30pm.

While Mama was rocking me to sleep, an earthquake rocked us!!! But my mama didn't know she was feeling an earthquake, she just thought she was just having a dizzy spell from being really tired! (It was several hours later that she found out about the earthquake. phew.)

Here I am after my nap. I was in a cheerful mood!

More Family Fun Times!

No time to get bored around these parts. No sooner did Papa leave, than Grandma Betsy arrived, with five fabulous Whitts with her! Auntie Kathy, and cousins Emma, Jake, Tyler and Kyle were nice enough to spend part of their spring break with me! (Poor Uncle Rick had to work.)

Oh my, it was so much fun with my cousins, that half the time mama just forgot to take pictures! She didn't get any shots of our trip to the beach to fly kites. But she did capture me opening my first birthday present, which Kyle helped me open! Thank you!!
Auntie Kathy blew bubbles which were fascinating but a little confusing!


And we had a lot of fun hanging around in the kitchen.
