More merriment!

I have many new pictures to share, but the hour is late and my mama's laptop battery is low on juice. So more pics will come tomorrow.
You can't really tell, but I'm wearing my special holiday dress that I picked out myself. There is a doggie patch under mama's hand... anyway, bonsoir!

Merry Christmas!

Guess who came to my house last night?! Santa!

He brought me so many lovely presents, like books, and blocks and a baby and many Dora items. My mom somehow missed getting pics of most of the action! It was a little chaotic. Eventually I needed to take a break so Pappa and I watched a little t.v.
Pappa thought Yo Gabba Gabba was pretty funny!
Then I did a little coloring while wearing my new shoes!
Although I got most of the presents, Champy got his share of attention (he always does, when Namma is in town!)
Last night Mamma and Namma made turkey and mashed potatoes, with a delicious bread pudding (made by Auntie JoJo) and home-made ice cream for dessert. Then I went to bed to dream of sugar plums.

Today while I was napping, Namma and Mama prepared another feast, with roast beef and other traditional favorites and then we had apple pie. Here we are getting ready to eat.
Here I am saying, "Merry Christmas everyone!"
I was just too excited to eat tonight, but Mamma, Daddy and my grandparents tried their best to make up for it.
Pappa and I had a nice chat before dinner.
More pics to come when Mama gets them downloaded from Pappa's camera!

Who's that coming down the chimney?

No, it's not Kris Kringle (yet), but we are getting excited around here!
Don't I look it?

Sorry about my recent radio silence

Hello, friends!

This fall has not been the best of times for my mama -- she's been feel a bit overworked and pulled from all sides. And since she's my official scrivener, the real downside of her schedule is that I haven't been able to post all my exciting news & noise and sundry other updates.

These updates include my ever-expanding vocabulary, my preference for dressing myself (see below), my love of singing (one lovely song -Trot Old Joe - in particular), and my ever-increasing tendency to be a big girl...

Bye for now...but not for this long, again! We promise to devote some time over the holiday to taking pictures and sharing updates.

We are family... part deux

I have just spent the past 3.5 days with eight of my beloved cousins and it has been a ball!
You would not know it from this photo shoot, however.
I essentially refused to partake in this exercise, thus dashing my mom's hopes of a lovely Christmas card style family photo.
Despite what these photos suggest, I have been on cloud nine all weekend. I have chased and been chased, laughed, squealed, clapped, learned new words, eaten lunch and dinner with the big kids, stayed up til 9pm every night, and last but not least...watched many, many episodes of Dora!
It's been so much fun!
Here's the same crowd of cousins last year in Fresno. Can you believe how much we've all grown since last September?

The attitude of gratitude

Happy thanksgiving!
I have a lot to be grateful for today. I'm grateful for my family, my puppy Champ, and my friends. I'm grateful that I am a happy and healthy little girl with a smile on my face and a spring in my step.
My mama is also very grateful ...and she's grateful for the people who read my blog, because you are mama's nearest and dearest!

I also want to wish a special Happy Birthday to my Poppa... greatest grandpa in the world!
I love you, Poppa, and can't wait to see you soon!

And on that note... wishing you all yummy turkey followed by sweet and peaceful dreams!

Happy Weekend

I had a great weekend! Grandma Betsy was in town to play with me.Champy was also glad she was here!We were so busy having fun, we got backed up on chores and now I'm up to my eyeballs in laundry! So exhausting, isn't it?
Other activities: doing artwork,
Teaching my baby important lessons, and keeping clean with Champy's help!
Daddy was away all weekend and I really missed him. I was so happy when he came home!
Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I'll try to get better! (ps, did you notice someone got her bangs trimmed?)
