Valley Girl

My mom, my Grandma Kate and I went to the mall in the San Fernando Valley. We shopped and we went to McDonald's and we were excellent Valley girls.
We didn't invite Champ.

Thank you, Aunt Patsy, for my beautiful dress!

My peeps

Here are some of my new best friends.
We are together to celebrate the birthday of my Aunt Kristen, seen her with her handsome son Max. As you can tell, I am busy checking out Max... but Miss Nina Zalosh, one of Max's number one girlfriends is giving me the skunk eye: "keep away from my man, little baby!"

She doesn't need to worry about me, because Max is head over heels in love with both Nina and her sister Sophie. Who can blame him?

Seeing these pictures below, you might think I am a fussy baby:
Here's my newly married amiga, Caroline Abdulrazak McKenna. I'm crying with tears of joy here because I finally get to meet her. I couldn't be at her wedding on April 17th, because I was very busy being a newborn in Santa Monica. So it was a very joyful moment to come together!
Here I am also not crying "fussy tears", I am again crying with joy that I have so many nice friends in Boston!

Happy Birthday Auntie Kree! See how happy I am that we are about to eat cupcakes?!

My mom just realized that this fall will mark 25 years since she met some of her Winsor friends back in class III, aka 7th grade. What's weird about that is that my mom and her friends are only 29 years old! They must have been quite young in 7th grade.

Pretty in Pink

While red may be my signature color, hot pink is clearly THE color of the season!

Who better to showcase the color of the moment than the beautiful Barton bambinas, seen here holding moi.

Alexis and Kaitlyn's mom is my mom's friend Kristine Hung. Could these girls be any cuter? They are also sweet and very well-behaved.

Many updates a-coming!

At last my Grandma Kate has arrived in LA for a quick visit. This means:
1. Nonstop fun-a-thon
2. Many photo ops!
3. My mom can finally download the pics she took on grandma's camera last month.

So stay tuned for many cute photos in the coming days.

xo,
Katie Ray

Party Foul

Here's a short video of me. If you get grossed out easily, you might want to look away in the final seconds of this film... the first 14 seconds are just about me being cute.

Just wondering...

If you think there's a family resemblance here:
The adorable baby seen above is none other than Aunt Margaret, circa 1970.

p.s. for fellow fashionistas, note that she is wearing the cutest footie-overalls in my favorite color! AND for home decor fans, I think you'll agree that my great-grandmother's chair stands the test of time. My mom wishes she had a chair in that fabric that right now!

McKillop Milestone Mania

Another day, another blog post. I wasn't even going to post today, mom and I were just really not in the mood. But, I managed to turn mom's frown upside down, with my act of adorable physical prowess.

Seen here, I am lounging on my playmat, just before I am supposed to take my bath.

And then all of a sudden, I decided to roll over onto my belly! I have tried this once before and not reeeallly made it. But tonight I really "stuck the landing" and did it over and over again.

And being a first baby, my every wiggle was captured for posterity. Please enjoy!

Here I go...

Did I just do this?

Hey mom, look what I did!

Hello, Dolly!

Not to be outdone, my brother Champ decided to achieve a milestone of his own. Some readers of this blog may know that the late great Ginger Feldstein, was so smart, she could (allegedly) open a mini fridge, remove both the turkey coldcuts and the milk, and essentially make her own meal. Now Champ did not go that far, but while I was having my photo shoot above in another room, Champ gave ole Ginger a run for her "smartest dog in all Boston" money, by opening a latched trash bin, and plucking out the bacon-grease soaked paper towels.

<-- hard evidence....

It's Been a While...

Since I have had a chance to blog.

My mom went back to work, and frankly, that's left me quite busy!

There's so much a gal has to accomplish in a day. Here's just one example:

I learned to hold my head up. Hello world!

Brotherly Love

There's been a lot of buzz about my cuteness these days (and of course I won't dispute it!), but someone I know is pretty darn adorable, too.

My beloved brother Champ just had a day at the spa... he is quite happy with his new summer cut and sparkling white hollywood smile.

Cuteness to the power of three

What's cuter than a sweet little baby? Well, a sweet little baby sitting on the laps of two adorable tots!
Here I am with Abby and Joshy Sheridan, Susan (Urstein) Sheridan's kids.

TGIF

I sure am in a Friday state of mind...

Seen here are mom, dad, and yours truly in Cape Cod, more specifically standing on the drawbridge in Woods Hole. Who's in the mood for a quahog!?

Vacation post #1

Boy, oh boy what a vacation we just had. It will take a while to share all the pictures! Here is installment one.

The fun began with a family road trip. Champ called shotgun, and I couldn't be bothered to argue:

After listening to Champ cry for about six hours (what a baby!), we finally got to Palo Alto, and at long last, I got to meet my Feitzinger cousins, Lauren, Ryan, Allie and Nicholas. I am very lucky to have so many cool older cousins to look up to!

Lauren and Allie took very good care of me. I miss them already!

Thank you guys for letting my mom and dad and Champ and me all visit you! We hope you come visit us soon!

Vacation post #2 - Party Animal!

Next stop was the beautiful wedding of Maggie and John. It was a lovely evening and I behaved like an angel.

That is until my mom decided to push her luck and teach me some of her signature dance moves. This was not my style, and moments after these photo was taken, I had a meltdown. I had to save her from herself. No one needed to see us doing "the Cabbage Patch."

I'm back!

And what a great vacation I had! I'm so busy getting settled that I haven't uploaded any vacation photos, so I'm sharing a few from the vaults.

When you're 85 days old, memory lane is brief, yet well-documented.

I'll be back online soon...
